Ms. Bonnie Lane, Delcastle Health Instructor, received the IDEAS award from the University of Delaware for "thinking outside the box" in teaching. The award is accompanied by a mini-grant of $500 to be used towards an innovative project at the school. According to UD, the specific purpose behind IDEAs is to celebrate educators who provide "wheels up" moments for their high school students and school communities and share their amazing ideas with the broader community. Ms. Lane's creative lessons thoroughly engage her students that instill the health of mind, body, and soul! She expressed that "the students give me so much energy!" The Delcastle community is grateful for her many years of dedication in cultivating innovation, positivity, and resilience in past, present, and future cougars.
