Delcastle Key Club Serves Local Firefighters with Homemade Dinner and Gratitude

November 21, 2025

Making a difference is at the heart of everything Delcastle stands for — and this week, the Delcastle Key Club put that spirit into action.

Led by advisor Mrs. Jasmin Black, the club visited the Belvedere Fire Hall Company to show appreciation for local first responders. Students prepared a homemade chicken noodle soup dinner, wrote heartfelt thank-you notes, and delivered a basket of warm socks to help firefighters stay comfortable during their long shifts.

“The smiles we received made every moment worth it,” Mrs. Black shared. “It reminded all of us why community service matters so much.”

An unexpected highlight came thanks to our Carpentry career area, who stepped in to build a brand-new gift basket in under an hour after the original was forgotten at home. Their quick teamwork truly embodied the spirit of service and collaboration that defines #CougarNation.

From start to finish, the day reflected Delcastle’s mission to Serve, Empower, and Transform—and showcased the authentic leadership and compassion of our Key Club students.
