December is a special month at Delcastle—filled with meaningful traditions, student celebrations, and community events that bring our school together as we close out the first half of the year. Below is a full overview of what families can expect throughout December 2025.
December 1–5: Inclusive Schools Week
We begin the month by celebrating Inclusive Schools Week, a nationwide movement that honors diversity and promotes a sense of belonging for every student. We encourage families and students to thank one of our terrific faculty and staff members in our Inclusion and STEP programs.
Tuesday, December 2: Giving Tuesday
Families and students are encouraged to participate in Giving Tuesday by supporting local causes and contributing to acts of kindness that make a difference across our school and community.
Tuesday, December 2: Title I Presentation – 6:00 p.m., Delcastle Media Center
Our annual Title I meeting will take place in the Media Center. Families will receive an overview of Title I services, academic supports, and ways to stay involved in their student’s success.
Friday, December 5: 2nd Marking Period Interim Report Date
The interim closes on Friday, 12/05. Families are encouraged to check progress and schedule follow-up conversations with teachers as needed.
Thursday, December 11: Ring Ceremony for the Junior Class of 2027
A milestone event for our juniors! Families of the Class of 2027 are invited to join us for this memorable ceremony.
Friday & Saturday, December 12–13: Fall Production of Almost, Maine
Our Drama Club takes the stage for its fall production, Almost, Maine. The show begins at 7:00 p.m. both nights, with tickets available online and at the door. Don’t miss this heartwarming performance brought to life by our talented student actors.
Monday, December 15: 2nd M.P. Interim Grades Available in Infinite Campus
Interim grades will officially be visible in Infinite Campus. This is an excellent midpoint check-in for students and families.
December 15–19: Holiday Spirit Week
A fan-favorite tradition at Delcastle! Students and staff are invited to participate in themed days throughout the week to celebrate the holiday season and show their Cougar spirit.
Thursday, December 18: Holidays at the ’Castle Spectacular – 5:30–8:30 p.m.
Join us for our annual free community event featuring performances, crafts, family activities, and festive fun. It’s one of our biggest celebrations of the year and a great way to welcome winter break.
Monday, December 22: Start of Winter Break
Winter Break begins, giving our students and staff a chance to rest, recharge, and enjoy the holiday season.
Monday, January 5: Classes Resume
