The ProStart Delaware Competition is an exciting event that brings together high school students from across the state to showcase their culinary skills and restaurant management expertise. The competition is designed to prepare students for careers in the restaurant and hospitality industry, which is a growing and important sector of Delaware's economy.
The competition is set to take place on Friday, March 10, 2023, in Dover, DE. During the event, students will be put to the test in a variety of challenges for their culinary competition. In this competition, students will have just one hour to cook a meal, then present that plate to the tasting judges.
Representing Team Delcastle in this year's competition are Ba'Ron Wilmer (2024), Nina Brooks (2024), Yaline Colon (2024), Erin Hinton (2024), Maria Sanchez (2025), and Jacob Kanthal (2025). These students have been working hard to hone their skills and prepare for the challenges that lie ahead.
The ProStart Delaware Competition is a great opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, as well as to meet and network with professionals in the field. We wish our Cougars and the rest of the future Delaware chefs the best of luck and look forward to seeing their creativity and talent on display!
