Delcastle Student Leadership is excited to announce the Summer Leadership Summit 2026: Champions Start Here, a one-day leadership experience designed for new and aspiring student leaders.
The summit will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Delcastle Technical High School’s main campus.
This year’s summit connects directly to Delcastle’s 2026–2027 theme, Stronger Together: Building Excellence and Champions. The message is simple: every student has the ability to lead, grow, belong, and make an impact.
The Summer Leadership Summit is open to incoming freshmen and students in grades 10–12 who are new to leadership or looking for a place to get involved. No title, experience, or previous involvement is required.
For incoming freshmen, the summit is an opportunity to meet upperclass mentors, build confidence, learn more about Delcastle, and start high school already feeling connected. Students will have the chance to find clubs, activities, and organizations that match their interests before the school year begins.
For students in grades 10–12, the summit is designed as a welcoming on-ramp into school life and leadership. Whether a student has always wanted to get involved but never knew where to start, or is ready to find a new way to contribute, August 5 can be their starting line.
The day will be built and led by experienced Delcastle student leaders, making the summit a true peer-led experience. Student leaders will help facilitate activities, mentor participants, lead conversations, and create a welcoming environment where students are known by name.
Throughout the day, participants will take part in arrival and breakfast, an opening assembly, small-group crew activities, pathway sessions, a “Find Your People” lunch, a Stronger Together cross-grade team challenge, an Ask-Me-Anything student panel, goal-setting, a pledge wall, and a closing celebration.
The goal is for every participant to leave with new connections, a stronger sense of belonging, and one real next step for the school year.
Lunch will be provided. Students should wear comfortable clothes and bring their energy.
