School Counseling Program Mission Statement

The mission of Delcastle’s school counseling program is to support all students through a comprehensive and developmental approach by addressing academic, social/emotional, career development, and post-secondary skills necessary to achieve quality learning and lifelong success as directed by the New Castle County Vocational Technical School District and the Delaware Department of Education. The Delcastle school counselor’s role is to foster personal responsibility in students as they work toward becoming active, positive members in our ever-advancing and changing society.

How to Schedule an Appointment with your School Counselor

Call, email, Schoology message, or ask your teacher to contact your school counselor.

Your counselor will send you a Schoology message with your appointment date and time to show your teacher or they may put a hard copy pass in your 1st-period teacher's mailbox.

**If you have an emergency, please come straight to the school counseling office and notify Mrs. Wynn or Ms. Wise-Bowen that you need to see your counselor immediately.
