Students should rank the career areas they explored in order of preference and include an additional 5th choice career area.

Can families review the information again?

Yes — the slides, meeting recording, and Spanish transcript are all linked above for your convenience.

Does this affect enrollment at Delcastle?

No, students are still Delcastle students

Are students guaranteed their first choice?

No. While we make every attempt to place students in one of their top choices, we must look at each career area to evaluate how many students that area can accommodate safely and effectively.

Some of our career areas are required, through National Certification boards, to adhere to a strict teacher-student ratio.  Also, remember that students’ Grades, Attendance, and Discipline are 50% of the score, and the grade that they received when visiting the specific career area also is factored in and is 50% of the score.

What absences affect reapplication?

Absent with documentation (AD), School Sanctioned Activities, Absences less than a half day DO NOT affect reapplication.

Our Commitment

We are proud to support them through this important transition and look forward to all they will accomplish in our community.
